On-call staff member sees the message in the morning. Drafts a reply at 7:12 AM apologizing for the delay. Calls the pool tech mid-morning to check the heater. Guest has already left a one-star line in her draft review.
Off-the-shelf chatbot replies in 4 seconds: "Our pools are heated to 82°F. Please enjoy your stay!" It does not know Casa del Sol's heater struggles below 60°F outdoor temp. It does not know it was last serviced in March 2024.
Assistant pulls Casa del Sol's heater model, last-service date, tonight's forecast (54°F). It drafts: "You're right — at tonight's temperature our heater is running about 6°F below target. I've flagged it for a tech first thing tomorrow. Would a fire pit and extra blankets help in the meantime?" Flagged for human review before send.
